There's a point where doing more of what got you here stops working.

Hey, I'm Shira Sneg, a career and leadership coach for senior professionals in global tech. I work at the intersection of behavioral science, organizational psychology, and strategic communication.

I know the cost of being underestimated and what it takes to design your way forward. And I know that the tools that make the difference are almost never the ones anyone properly teaches you.

My story

This section is supposedly about me. Mostly that means listing credentials and tidying up a hero's journey arc that I can sell to Netflix. I'll do some of that, because I know my background — like my BA in Psych, Gallup CliftonStrengths coaching certification and MA in OB&D (in progress) — matters, alongside life experiences like leaving Disney to give a TEDx talk, moving across seas and starting my career from scratch, winning 1st place nationally for a company values project, or being asked to serve on senior leadership hiring committees at 23…

But the work I do isn't really about me. It's about you. You're the main character in your career. So here's what's actually worth telling you about how I got here and what motivates me to do the work I do.

P.S. This is for the readers. You can skim, or just skip to reading about my philosophy and foundations on this page.

I live it

My career has been non-linear, because my moves have been made from intentional design, not a playbook.

I left a tenured role at one of Canada's top business schools and opportunities that would've more than doubled my salary. Instead, I came to Israel without a job, a clear next step, or a built-in network — living off sal klita (immigration assistance) that barely covered a room in a shared apartment in Tel Aviv.

It wasn't easy, it stretched me in every way. But the pull to answer my "what if" about making the kind of life I wanted to build in Israel was stronger than the security I was leaving behind.

What made that scary decision easier is that I'd already done everything "right" once before. During the first year of my BA, I built toward a role from day one: connections, experience, recommendations. It was the obvious next step.

Andddd.... then I didn't get it.

I want to say I was graceful about it. I wasn't. I was upset for a month, and then I shifted that energy to curiosity.

I stopped asking how to do everything right, and started asking:

What actually determines who gets seen, chosen, and moved forward? And how can I be the best version of myself while doing that?

From there, my path was anything but linear. I combined paid work with initiatives I cared about, led institutional policy change across student leadership, spoke at global conferences, and built momentum without a predefined lane.

When I moved to Israel in 2019, I hired a coach while I had no stable income and was figuring things out from scratch. By then I trusted myself — but I also knew the best transitions aren't solo. The right support adds precision and momentum.

And so I was able to make so many of my goals come to life. At HiBob, I job crafted my way into a UX writing role and was asked by the exec team to help lead a company-wide values initiative across global teams. That work? Went on to win a national HR excellence award.

*None* of this came from having the most obvious background.

It came from learning how to close the gap between what I bring and how it's experienced by the people making decisions. And I keep studying it →

The philosophy behind my coaching

Built from evidence, designed for your career momentum.

I don't believe in simply looking at what other coaches are offering and ctrl+c, ctrl+v it to my practice. That's not intentional, and designing a career you love? That requires precisely that: intention x strategy that are connected to your core. I built my frameworks, tools, and approach intentionally from the research, from my own transitions, and from years of seeing, working on, and iterating on what actually moves people forward — and removing everything that doesn't.

The foundations

My core principles

Strengths-based development

Working with what makes you uniquely equipped, not against what you're not.

Strategic communication

Helping you communicate your value in a way the right people can receive it.

Organizational psychology

Understanding the systems, dynamics, and invisible rules that determine who moves forward.

Career design

Building careers and teams with intention — grounded in strengths, values, and what creates sustainable growth.

Want to see how it applies to you specifically?

If you're ready to close the gap between your talent and your impact, grounded in your strengths, your values, and what actually matters to you, let's talk.
